Hi everyone, we are picking a ton of stuff now. Paulared apples(Tart and crispy), GingerGold Apples (sweet and crispy), Pears, Peaches, Tomatoes, Sunflowers, Eggplant, Peppers, and more. Thank God it did not rain too hard last night. Now that everything is ripe the rain tends to spoil it. It is a great time of year, so much to eat. Tonight I will make Yummy Peppers (from Ceccarelli Farm) they are to die for! Sweeet!. I think I will saute with tomatoes and our green pepps and put with Ditalini. For tomorrow, I will make the eggplant tomato casserole. We have all these recipes at the stand. Delicious.
The Fall crops look good, George just planted Collard Greens. The Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower liked all that rain. He is cultivating and fertilizing all the crops.
Don’t forget Eli’s Dinner on our farm. September 17th. It will be a lot of fun. We had a great time last year, the food is awesome. Kevin knows how to put on a great meal. He uses a lot of our produce in the meal. Hope to see you there. Get your tickets now at Eli’s.
