There is still time to join the Hindinger CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). For $500.00, you pick up a box filled with beautiful fresh produce each week. The program runs June 15th through November 24th. We grow 100 acres of Fruits and Veggies, so the box is filled with a nice selection. We start with Lettuce, Peas, Strawberries, then get into Peaches, Corn, Tomatoes, Green Beans , and other produce in the summer. The fall will bring in Apples, Plums, Pears, Cabbage , Broccoli, Cauliflower, Greens and more. For a complete listing of our crops go to www.hindingersfarm.com . Also go to the website for the online form to sign up! A $250.00 deposit is required at sign up and the rest is due on the first pick up.
It is fun to go along and experience the different flavors of the seasons. We are alll “foodies” at the farm and we love to eat!! We make certain that there is a lot of recipes available for all the produce that goes in the box. With all the snow this year, I tried many new recipes. We were stuck inside because all that snow in January made it difficult to prune our Trees. We are caught up now though!
Hi Liz – will Hiningers be selling CSA cards this year, or just doing the packages? I’ve loved using the cards the last two years.
Yes, we will be doing our CSA cards this year. Still $90.00 for $100.00 card. We will begin to sell May 5th until the last day in June.
