It sure has been a busy few weeks. We just got through pruning our Peach Trees (The snow held us back a bit), and we had to get the stand ready. We have lots of great new products in the stand, new Cheese, flavored almonds, Dip mixes, new gift items, lots more! I have been using the dip mixes to flavor all kinds of food. I used the Chipoltle Garlic on my turkey Breast and grilled, and I just used the Mediterranian with fresh tomatoes on my chicken and baked it. Yummy! We have lots of great produce including native Spinach and our own Asparagus.

We had a new arrival of 2 baby girl goats. They are adorable. Our neighbors Allison and Jeff raised them , and they are only 2 months old! We are having a contest to name the little sweeties. Come in the stand this weekend to enter your names. If we pick your names, you win a $25.00 Hindinger Farm gift certificate. They are happy in the new pen we built. They don’t realize yet, but they have the best view of New Haven in town!.

We are planting away like crazy! Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant, Cut flowers and Kohlrabi just went into the ground. Our Corn , Beans, Peas and Cucumbers are already up and running. We plant these crops frequently so we have plenty to last the summer and fall. Hope to see everyone soon! It is great to see everyone again, and check out how big all the kids got!

I hope it gets warm soon! Things are always busy at the farm, but it needs to be a little warmer. The peas are up out of the ground, but quite frankly they are cold!

I hope it gets warm soon! Things are always busy at the farm, but it needs to be a little warmer. The peas are up out of the ground, but quite frankly they are cold! Once it warms up everything will pop! The Peach blossoms are starting to come out, and our Methley Plum blossoms are here already. They are so beautiful. George has planted corn, beans, and peas. We all look forward to eating some farm fresh veggies.

We built new digs for the goats. They are a little furthur away from the hustle and bustle of the stand, so you can relax and enjoy the new space. The goats are a little freaked out, they have been in the same location for 15 years. Moving is an adjustment! All of our toys and picnic tables will be in the same area.

Our opening day is May 8th. We look forward to seeing everyone after the long winter. We will have lots of pretty plants, gift items, produce, jams and jellies, salsa, honey and so much more! I tried lots of new recipes over the winter which I will share with everyone!
